Description: Divine ability to understand whether the message or action is from God or Satan.
Purpose:
- To protect the fellowship from outside influences which may pervert the Gospel message.
- (PROTECTING the believers from false prophets, doctrine …)
Focus:
- On Spiritual Warfare. In cultures where the Gospel message have just come into being, other spirits have long made there presence known and made homes. The Gospel will set the balances of power into an upheaval, and since the new believers are vulnerable and can easily be lead astray, this gift will identify the source of messages and actions to protect the young believers.
Results:
- People will be protected from false doctrine and evil spirits.
Blindsides:
- Believing Evil Powers are behind everything, ignoring man’s sinfulness
