  • The program begins at 9 and concludes at 12 pm. We encourage you to show up a little early to allow enough time to go through check in before the program starts.

  • Our Summer Adventure VBS program is free. We will have t-shirts available for purchase while supplies last. 100% of t-shirts sales go to support La Center Church's children's ministries.

  • Our program is for children ages 4-12. Some 4 year olds may find the program overwhelming if they have not been around large groups of kids before. Children are split into groups based on the grade they will be going into in the fall.

  • We split kids into 10 different groups. 4 groups for preschool/kindergarten and 6 groups for 1st-5th graders. The preschool/kindergarten groups are smaller to help those kids who have limited school or large group experience not feel as overwhelmed. Our Kidztown Preschool staff work with our VBS volunteers to create activities that are appropriate for this age group. Our groups for 1st-5th graders are larger and during some sessions 2 groups will participate together. (We only combine groups that are close in age. For example: 1st graders will not participate in a game with 5th graders.)

  • Yes, activities are age appropriate. Our daily Bible lesson, crafts, and games will vary. The greatest difference is between our preschool/kindergarten groups and elementary groups.

  • We typically have over 150 kids participate in our program and at times it can be very loud when everyone is singing and dancing. If this is something your child may find overwhelming, you are welcome of accompany your child and take them to a quiet place If they are feeling overwhelmed at any time during the program.

  • If your child has food allergies or sensitivities, please note them on their registration so we can notify our snack team. Every day we provide snack options (such as dairy or gluten free) for those with allergies. You are also welcome to send a snack from home for your child to eat at snack time.

  • No, your child does not have to attend every day, but we encourage you to preregister so we can ensure we have enough supplies prepared for the days they do attend. If you know ahead of time which days your child will not be attending, we do appreciate the notice.

  • If you come in after our assembly time please check in with the church office. At that time we will check in you child to the program and escort them to their group activity. If you need to pick up your child early, please come to the office so we can lead you to their group and check them out of the program.
